Creative Explosion Day (with guest appearance!)

I’ve got soooooo much creative stuff to share with you guys today!! The storm went down and a sea of time and space opened up at our feet, resulting in this Creative Explosion Fest Post for AEDM day 9. Promise me you’ll read till the end of the post coz I saved the best for last! Here goes…

This morning I got to finish my part of the Detective Party Invitation, i.e. the handlettering part. I have no drawing talent whatsoever, I cannot even do a silhouette, so that part I’m leaving to Norah or the hubby -further on in this post you’ll see where Norah got her drawing talent from…

Then there was another block of spare time -wiiiiiiii- and I finally made the thank you-cards for our wedding guests:

The Universe decided to drop another time bomb so I got to preparing a little gift for my neighbor. This gentle guy who is a nurse, turned out to be the most gifted florist I’ve ever seen and he saved our wedding. See, exactly one week before the big day I managed to bump so hard into the trunk lid of my car I had to spend the rest of the week in the dark with a concussion. But that’s another story 😉 Point is my awesome neighbor took over the deco and -together with my then-fiancé and his parents- turned the barn venue into a magical place. We’re inviting him over for dinner this weekend and as a little extra I’m giving this tea-lover a delicious green tea blend from a charming little tea shop near Bruges. Did I mention we’re moving to Bruges this summer? Well, anyway, that’s another story, I made a little label to write a thank you note and add it to the jar. I’ll just stop talking now, here it is:

But the best is yet to come… my favorite moment of the day was when everyone got home and Norah, the hubby and I sat together around the table, creating away while Little Brother was asleep…

Norah worked on her Little Pony drawings and these cute twin people…

I did some handlettering exercise…

And saving the best for last, a guest appearance of the hubby with his awesome Star Wars fighting machines!!!  It’s still a work in progress and he likes to thank the Drawing with Paolo Youtube Series for the awesome inspiration.

This explains pretty much Norah’s talent, right?

Well, this was a very happy Nelly writing today, see you tomorrow!
